About WTFFF!?
WTFFF!? is a website of Fonds Slachtofferhulp about online sexual abuse. WTFFF!? was created together with young people who have experienced online sexual abuse. Fonds Slachtofferhulp continues to work closely with young people who have experienced online sexual abuse as well as with the following organizations who help people who have experienced online sexual abuse: Centrum Seksueel Geweld, Helpwanted and Fier.
Why WTFFF!?
Because (online) sexual abuse is a major societal problem. About 82% of people who experience (online) sexual abuse find it difficult to talk about it or ask for help. As a result, (online) sexual abuse can happen unnoticed and traumatic symptoms can arise and worsen.
What is thepurpose of WTFFF!?
WTFFF!? aims to lower the threshold for talking about (online) sexual abuse as well as asking for help, to the immediate surroundings of a person or (anonymously) to a care provider. We do this:
- By informing
Based on real stories of young people who have experienced online sexual abuse, WTFFF!? informs about the impact and meaning of online sexual abuse and where you can go for professional help.
- By activating
WTFFF!? activatespeopleto talk abouttheirexperiencewith online sexualabuse, with a trusted person in theirimmediatesurroundingsor (anonymously) with the care provider.
- By destigmatizing
WTFFF!? destigmatizes by creating awareness about the impact of victim blaming, by increasing knowledge about shame and guilt and by providing information and support tools for family and friends.
- By being able to write your story anonymously
On WTFFF.nl you can write your story anonymously and read the stories about (online) sexual abuse of almost 300 others. Writing about your experience can be a first step to talk about it to people in your life or (anonymously) to a care provider.
- By offering a WTFFF!? teaching package
WTFFF!? also has a teaching package for secondary education, with the aim to prevent online sexual abuse.
