If I pretend it didn't happen, maybe I'll forget about it? This is a logical thought. But when you try to suppress an event that makes a big impression on you, unfortunately the opposite can happen. You can suffer more from it.

For some, like Roos, writing was the first step to letting go of her negative experience. To put on paper what was going on in her head. Writing also helped her tell her environment and care providers about what had happened to her.
What happens to my story?
You can do whatever you want with your story.
You can choose to write your story and save it for yourself. This way youcan share it with your parents, a friend or a care providerwhenever you are ready to do so.
